Mattawan Consolidated Schools

Our Simplified Process

For Mattawan Consolidated Schools

01 Challenge

Mattawan Consolidated School District faced the complex task of executing a $110 million bond program aimed at modernizing and expanding its academic, athletic, and operational facilities. The district needed to manage a multi-year construction effort (June 2023–Spring 2029) while aligning scope with available funding, addressing safety and infrastructure needs, and ensuring minimal disruption to learning environments.

02 Solution

Veridus Advisors was selected as the Owner’s Representative in Spring 2024 to lead strategic planning and execution. Working alongside Tower Pinkster (architect) and AVB Construction (CMc), Veridus provided scenario modeling, strategic budgeting, and financial oversight. The program includes construction of a 60,000-square-foot field house, a student and community pool, transportation and maintenance buildings, and a middle school cafeteria. Renovations span classrooms, science labs, restrooms, locker rooms, and athletic facilities. Safety upgrades include traffic flow improvements, parking enhancements, and updated security systems.

03 Results

Veridus is helping the district phase investments responsibly, manage construction escalation, and ensure taxpayer dollars are used effectively. The bond program is transforming Mattawan’s infrastructure into a safe, state-of-the-art learning environment that supports long-term educational goals and benefits the broader community. The Mattawan Consolidated Schools celebrated the ribbon cutting of the field house in September 2025.
