Our Simplified Process
For Washington Township / Avon Fire Department Station #144
01 Challenge
The area near 900 East County Road and 200 North in Avon, Indiana, was identified as both the most heavily populated and the hardest to reach in Washington Township, highlighting the need for faster emergency response. As service requests surged due to rapid population growth, it became crucial for Washington Township to improve the efficiency of deploying apparatus and personnel to better serve the community.
02 Solution
Veridus Advisors served as the Owner’s Representative for the construction of Fire Station #144 in Washington Township, overseeing the 10,000-square-foot project to meet the community’s need for faster emergency response times. Collaborating with the Township and the Construction Manager, Meyer Najem, the team addressed budget challenges, managed vendors, and resolved site issues, ensuring the project stayed on budget and included key amenities like two bays and sleeping quarters.
03 Results
Completed on time in May 2022, Fire Station #144 now enables faster deployment of emergency personnel to the most populated areas in Washington Township. The station features two bays, sleeping quarters, and parking, enhancing the firefighters’ ability to serve the community effectively. The project also saved nearly $90,000 from the Owner Contingency fund, marking a significant improvement in public safety and infrastructure for the township.
