Westfield Washington Public Library

Our Simplified Process

For Westfield Washington Public Library

01 Challenge

The Westfield Washington Public Library (WWPL) project faced the challenge of balancing a $16.7 million budget while seeking the most cost-effective project delivery method and ensuring bidder engagement.

02 Solution

Veridus Advisors played a crucial role in walking alongside WWPL as they selected the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) method, which provided substantial cost savings and improved bidder participation. The team implemented strategic measures such as reallocating funds from the sale of the existing library, negotiating permit fee waivers, and addressing infrastructure and soil challenges to optimize the project’s financial viability.

03 Results

The 54,000-square-foot library and Westfield Washington Township Trustee Office project was completed on time and within budget, opening in early June 2024. The new facility includes a variety of amenities such as a children’s play area, meeting rooms, event spaces, cafe, and a digital media lab, serving both library patrons and township administrative needs efficiently.
